Phoebe Chest Pain Center is the only center in Albany dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of heart emergencies. Open 24 hours a day, Phoebe Chest Pain Center is backed by comprehensive cardiac services and specialists offering sophisticated procedures including angioplasty and open heart surgery.

When a patient arrives at Phoebe's Emergency Center with acute cardiac problems, he is taken to the Chest Pain Center where evaluations are conducted to determine if he or she is having a heart attack. The patient undergoes continuous monitoring during the "rule-out" process, which includes cardiograms and cardiac specific lab tests. If invasive cardiac procedures are deemed necessary, the patient is taken to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab or Operating Room.
