This memorial honors the British Royal Air Force cadets who were buried in Albany and it stands as a memorial in honor of all British cadets who trained in the U.S. during World War II.
Museums & Galleries
Located in the former Mount Zion Baptist Church which was the site of civil rights mass meetings in the early 1960s, this museum details the civil rights struggle through oral histories, photographs, documents, and artifacts.
The Albany Museum of Art is the only fully accredited art museum in Southwest Georgia. It is home to a permanent collection of 19th and 20th century American and European art, as well as one of the finest Sub-Saharan African art collections in the Southeastern United States.

If you are looking for a club to call home, you've found it at Doublegate. Located in Albany, Ga., Doublegate offers an 18-hole championship course designed by George Cobb, Shirley Cooper, and Jack Rowe. The club was originally owned and developed by Angus Alberson, Charles Oxford, and O.D. Carlton, II.

Learn the human story of Albany and Southwest Georgia while at this center that includes a local and regional history and heritage museum, a science discovery center with hands-on exhibits, and the only planetarium in Southwest Georgia that is open to the public.
