The Phoebe Diabetes Care Center is the only comprehensive diabetes center in the region and one of only 20 in the state of Georgia recognized by the American Diabetes Association.
Diabetes is a silent killer. More than 20 million Americans have this deadly disease, and a third of them don't even know it.
It wasn't so long ago that a single source for comprehensive, multi-disciplinary diabetes care didn't exist in Southwest Georgia. Today, the Phoebe Diabetes Care Center provides unprecedented family-oriented patient care and education for those with diabetes to help them manage their disease.
Our expert team of doctors, nurses and registered dieticians provides our patients with the most up-to-date knowledge and skills to manage diabetes, along with compassionate support. Individual and group sessions are available for patients and their families. The education classes include:
Pathophysiology
Medication monitoring
Dietary monitoring
Behavioral modification
Exercise
Support groups are offered for adult, child and
pump therapy patients.
